We Put Veterans First
About Us
The Homeless Veterans Emergency Housing Facility ("Veteran Housing Facility"), is designed to to provide an access point to V.A. Health Care and services in order to engage homeless veterans in treatment for their issues.
The "Veterans Housing Facility", is specifically targeting it's services to the veterans who have not had access to V.A. care - the hardest to reach of the homeless veterans.
To this end, "Veterans Housing Facility", provides outreach to veterans, linkage to V.A. programs, 30 emergency shelter beds and 110 transitional housing beds for both male and female veterans.
About one-third of the adult homeless population have served their country in the Armed Services. Current population estimates suggest that about 154,000 veterans (male and female) are homeless on any given night and perhaps twice as many experience homelessness at some point during the course of a year. Many other veterans are considered near homeless or at risk because of their poverty, lack of support from family and friends, and dismal living conditions in cheap hotels or in overcrowded or substandard housing..
